  • Anatomy & Histology - Martindale's - Huge resource for the health professional or lay person. Features interactive anatomy sites of body systems and educational materials.

  • Atlas Endoscopy of Digestive Diseases (English) - digestive endoscopy images

  • Auscultation Assistant - a marvelous site where you can hear a wide variety of common and uncommon variations in heart sounds. This site will not work on all computers but it is well worth the trouble of getting the needed programs and extensions.

  • Autopsy - Autopsy means "see for yourself". It is a special surgical operation, performed by specially-trained physicians, on a dead body. Its purpose is to learn the truth about the person's health during life, and how the person really died. By Ed Friedlander, M.D., Pathologist

  • Cardiac Central - site maintained on the cyber nurse page. A little unusual but does have lots of useful information.

  • CARDIAX - is a computer-aided instructional program of 20 planned cases in basic cardiology. Development is a collaborative effort between Dr. Richard Judge, a well-known cardiologist, and the Learning Resource Center at the University of Michigan Medical School.

  • Cardiovascular Nursing Simulations - The program consists of two multimedia patient simulations that require the user to answer open-ended questions. The purpose of this method is to teach critical decision-making skills to nursing students and new nurses.

  • Cells Alive!!! - This website represents over 25 years of experience capturing film and computer-enhanced images of living cells and organisms for education and medical research.

  • Cyberounds - Interactive grand rounds from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Conferences on 15 clinical specialties - geriatrics, women's health, nutrition, cardiology, psychiatry, pulmonary medicine, rheumatology, nephrology, medical genetics, hematology/oncology, health law and bioethics, infectious diseases, emergency medicine, endocrinology, and gastroenterology.

  • Dr. Bobs Virtual En-psych-lopedia - A range of great calculators, links and other stuff related to psychiatry.

  • ECG library homepage - An electrocardiogram (ECG / EKG) is an electrical recording of the heart and is used in the investigation of heart disease. This library is a collection of realistic looking recordings which will help improve your ECG skills.

  • EMS Quiz - The following quizzes where designed to work with the Netscape Browser. For some reason the Internet Explorer Browser doesn't seem to work correctly.

  • Eye Simulator/Virtual Patient Simulator - This application provides an eye motion and pupil response simulator, animations to demonstrate neurological testing, and quizzes to test comprehension. It also provides a set of patient cases with various neurological pathologies.

  • General Organ and Biochemistry - All of the animations listed are used in association with the General, Organic and Biochemistry Course. The are in Apple Quicktime format. Each has been reduced in size and quality for more rapid viewing.

  • Global Dermatology Grand Rounds - No longer updated - provides case studies.

  • Human Anatomy Online - InnerBody.com - Insight Online is designed to provide instant logical flow between all of its related images. To make learning easier, the Insight program is divided into systems. They can be accessed at the main system menu or from the system listing page.

  • The Virtual Library: Medicine and Health - The WWW Virtual Library

  • Three dimensional medical reconstruction - This is a collection of movie clips, showing various medical reconstructions. These images are derived from slice data from a variety of medical image modalities such as MR or CT. The two dimensional slice data from these scanners is used as input for the three dimensional reconstructions.

  • Whole Brain Atlas: - "An incredible collection of MR images of the brain. A well designed and easy to use web site that includes 'Tours' of pathological conditions as well as MPEG movies. Also offers a self-quiz on anatomical structures. The on-line atlas has sections on normal brain, cerebrovascular disease, neoplastic disease, degenerative disease, and inflammatory/infectious disease."
