Men's Health Issues

  • Detailed Guide: Prostate Cancer - Most prostate cancers grow slowly. Autopsy studies show that many older men who died of other diseases also had a prostate cancer that never affected them and that neither they nor their doctor were aware of. Some prostate cancers, however, can grow and spread quickly. (American Cancer Society)

  • Enlarged prostate (BPH) - An enlarged prostate - known as benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH - is caused by an overgrowth of prostate cells. This enlargement constricts the urethra so the flow of urine is reduced, making it increasingly difficult to empty the bladder. (Published by BUPA's Health Information Team December 2002, revised June 2004)

  • Enlarged prostate - A man's prostate gland usually starts to enlarge after he reaches 40 years or middle age. This condition is called benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). (eMedicine.com)

  • Male Problems With Sexual Functioning - In our society, men are often expected to be all-knowledgeable about sexual functioning as well as omnipotent. Because of this, it may be difficult for men to ask questions or raise concerns about this area. (Peer Health, at Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts USA)

  • Men's health: Preventive Health Guidelines - Health exams, tests and immunizations are vital to preventive care. Use these general guidelines to make sure your health maintenance schedule is up-to-date. Please check your benefit plan details for information about covered services. (CIGNA)

  • Penis Health - All you need to know about the Penis including Penile Dysfunctions, Penis Enlargements, Penis Enhancement, Penis Health, Penis Products and Penile Care.

  • Prostate Cancer - The body is made up of many types of cells. Normally, cells grow, divide, and produce more cells as needed to keep the body healthy and functioning properly. Sometimes, however, the process goes wrong - cells become abnormal and form more cells in an uncontrolled way. (NIH Senior Health USA)
