  • Female Genital Mutilation - Amnesty International (AI) has been concerned with the human rights implications of female genital mutilation (FGM) for over 15 years. The issue was first tabled at the 1981 International Council Meeting, in the wake of the interest aroused worldwide by an international conference organized by the World Health Organization in Khartoum, Sudan, in 1979.

  • NWHRC's Healthywomen.org (USA) - Since the late 1980s, the National Women’s Health Resource Center, Inc. (NWHRC) has helped millions of women educate themselves about the health topics that concern them the most. The non-profit organization, dedicated to helping women make informed decisions about their health, encourages women to embrace healthy lifestyles to promote wellness and prevent disease.

  • The Canadian Women's Health Network / Le Réseau canadien pour la santé des femmes - The Canadian Women's Health Network (CWHN) was officially launched in May, 1993 by women representing over 70 organizations from every province and territory. Based on the visions, hopes and needs of women working in the women's health movement, the CWHN emerged from the generous dedication of health care workers, educators, advocates, consumers and other Canadians committed to sharing information, resources and strategies to better women's health.

  • Women's Health Australia - Women's Health Australia is a national research resource providing information on women's health issues. It provides an evidence base to the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing for the development and evaluation of policy and practice in many areas of service delivery that affect women. The project is the largest of its kind ever conducted in Australia and it is gaining an international reputation for its multidisciplinary methodology.
