CORTNEY
DAVIS

Cortney Davis is a poet and nurse practitioner,
author of two poetry collections, The Body Flute (Adastra
Press, 1994) and Details of Flesh (CALYX Books, 1997) and
co-editor of Between the Heartbeats: Poetry and Prose by Nurses
(University of Iowa Press, 1995). She lives in Redding, Connecticut
and works in the women's health clinic at Danbury Hospital. A
creative non-fiction narrative about her work in women's health,
I Knew a Woman, is forthcoming from Random House.
