  • Australia and New Zealand College of Mental Health Nurses - is the only professional body representing the interests of mental health nurses. The College was established as the Australian Congress of Mental Health Nurses in 1975 An elected Council, which includes representation from each duly formed Branch, administers College affairs. An elected Branch Committee manages local matters. All Committee members give their time and resources voluntarily.

  • Australian College of Critical Care Nurses - Offers membership information, application, activities and events, and selected articles from the current journal.

  • Australian College of Midwives.- The most technically interesting midwife site on the web.

  • Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council - National nursing body concerned with national standards and processes for the regulation of nursing within Australia. Includes code of ethics, current projects, catalog of publications, and news.

  • Australian Nursing Federation   Provides professional and industrial leadership for both the nursing industry and the broader health sector. Includes news and events, list of publications with selected excerpts, and list of officers and services.

  • Australian Practice Nurses Association - The Australian Practice Nurses Association is a not-for-profit professional association, providing representation, information, support and a professional network for practice nurses throughout Australia. The APNA has been recognised by government, medical and other professional groups as the peak national body representing the needs of nurses working in general practice.

  • College of Emergency Nursing Australian - Full Membership is open to all registered nurses. Associate Membership is available to Enrolled Nurses, medical and paramedical professions subscribing to the purpose of the Association and agreeing to abide by the constitution and by-laws and acceptable to the committee.

  • Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses - When CATSIN was first conceptualized as an organisation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses, there may have been some questions as to its intrinsic worth as well as its ability to remain relevant in a constantly changing environment. CATSIN has, however, taken on all of its challenges and has proven its sustainability and staying power.

  • Enrolled Nurse Professional Association of NSW - The Enrolled Nurse Professional Association (ENPA) was formed in 1994 at Ashfield NSW after the Inaugural State Conference for Enrolled Nurses (NSW 1993) identified a need for special interest groups to be formed to pursue the professional interests of this group of  nurses. 

  • Joanna Briggs Institute - Offers a variety of evidence based nursing resources, including membership information, a notice board, best practice information sheets, nursing procedure manuals, and systematic reviews of nursing care.

  • Medical Imaging Nurses Association of Victoria - Includes background, committee members, events, membership information, and employment opportunities. [Some areas require membership.]

  • OR Nurses Down Under - E-mail list for Australian OR nurses for support and to share ideas and information. (ONElist based)

  • The Orthopaedic Nurses Association of Western Australia - The Association is open to any nurse (RN, EN) interested in orthopaedic nursing. Students are also welcome.
