Foundation in Europe: -
The Canon Foundation in Europe was founded in 1987 and is based in the
Netherlands. The objective of the Foundation is the promotion of
science, culture and mutual understanding between Europe and Japan. The
Foundation grants research fellowships to postgraduate students and
researchers. Europeans receive the fellowship for long term periods of
research in Japan and, similarly, Japanese to undertake research in
Europe. The Web site offers information about the fellowships, awards,
and has access to the Foundation's newsletter.
